Maria is a Clinical Fellow ST1 in Neonatology at the University Hospital of South Manchester, one of the NHS Trusts of the North West Deanery. She graduated from the Medical School

Dr Alexandros Moraitis
Alex is currently a ST1 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Addenbrookes hospital, Cambridge. He graduated from Medical school at the University of Athens and has obtained a MSc in Reproductive biology at the University of Thessaly. After finishing two years of foundation training in UK, I have gained extensive research experience as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department the Cambridge University.

Dr Elena Syrimis
She graduated from Athens medical school in 2011. Following her graduation she completed the Foundation training programme in the West Midlands deanery. She currently holds a National Training Number in Paediatrics in the West Midlands deanery. Her base is in Birmingham and she currently working at Universal hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS trust.

Dr Laskaratos Faidon
Faidwn graduated from the medical school of the University of Athens in 2008 with first class honours and was awarded a prize from the Academy of Athens for ranking 1st in class out of 250 students. Following his graduation, he completed his Foundation Programme and Core Medical Training in the London Deanery. During his postgraduate training in the UK, he obtained the MRCP(UK) qualification and he is currently studying towards an MSc in Medical Education at UCL. He is currently holding a National Training Number in Gastroenterology in the North Central/East Thames rotation in London.

Dr George Malietzis
George graduated from the medical school of Athens and then moved to UK to train as a surgeon. He has done his Core Surgical Training at East of England Deanery and holds an MSc in Cancer Therapeutics from Queen Mary University. He has progressed through all the levels of specialty training in the UK; started as a Foundation Year 2 doctor at Pilgrim hospital, progressed to CT1 and CT2 at Broomfield Hospital, East of England Deanery and currently holds a Registrar post at St. Mark’s Hospital.

Dr Spiros Loggos
Finished medical School in 1999, and then after completing military service and rural service came to the UK for a basic surgical rotation and cardiothoracics in junior grades. I went back home to complete cardiothoracics , and now I am happily back as a registrar in Wolverhampton. I hope in the near future to be part of a congenital department, but for now I am focused in adult diseases
I support west ham united and in my spare time I fly small aircraft, follow James in concerts, listen to good music and travel

I am a graduate of the National and Capodistrian University of Athens Medical School. I am a foundation year 2 doctor in County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust and I am currently doing a placement in Orthopaedics in Darlington Memorial Hospital. Dr Alexander Mathioudakis
Alexandros is a Core Medical Trainee at Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He graduated from Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2011. He is currently a PhD candidate in the same centre. His research interests include COPD epidemiology, immunology and management. He has several publications in high-impact international journals and he is a peer-reviewer in international journals. He has been awarded for his research by the American Respiratory Care Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Hellenic Society for the Advancement of Biomedical Research and an active member of European Respiratory Society.
ST MARY'S HOSPITAL, NHS TRUST, LONDON
Dr Vassiliki Bravis
Vassiliki graduated from the university of Cambridge and completed her clinical studies at Imperial College London. She is currently a senior Registrar in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Internal Medicine at St Mary’s hospital in London, an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the department of Investigative Sciences at Imperial College and a member of the Royal College of Physicians. She combines clinical practice with teaching and research. She has received awards for her research in the field of Diabetes and has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is very passionate about medical education, both undergraduate and postgraduate. She has completed a fellowship in postgraduate medical education with the London deanery and is currently completing her PGCert in undergraduate learning for teaching at Imperial College. Her research interests include diabetic foot disease, type 1 diabetes and glycaemic variability, technology in type 1 diabetes care, cardiovascular risk, fasting in diabetes, endocrine conditions of pregnancy and reproductive endocrinology.

Dr Konstantinos Fragkos
Konstantinos Fragkos is a Clinical Research Fellow at UCLH, GI Services. He is currently in the writing his PhD after 3 year of full-time research. He is author in 20 peer-reviewed publications in Gastroenterology and other medical issues. He was worked in many hospital around the UK, including University College Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Royal London Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and Nottingham University Hospital (QMC). He has presented his results in international results including ESPEN, UEGW, BSG and DDW.

Dr Marina Yiasemidou Glassman
Marina completed her pre graduate degree at the National and Capodistrian University of Athens. In 2010 she was awarded an MSc in Surgical Skills and Sciences by the University of London, with Merit. Marina is currently a Speciality Trainee/Academic Clinical Fellow in Gastrointestinal Surgery, holding an Academic National Training Number in General Surgery. She is affiliated with Leeds Teaching Hospitals (Leeds General Infirmary and St James’ University hospital) and Leeds University. She is an Honorary Tutor for the School of Medicine, University of Leeds. She is currently working on developing a simulator for TME surgery, a project funded by the Pelican Cancer Foundation, while continuing her clinical run-through training in General Surgery.
GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL, LONDON
Dr Michalis Papadopoulos
Michalis graduated from Athens Medical School and after completing his rural service came to the UK. He has been training in Paediatrics since 2005. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and holds a National Training Number in London Deanery. He is currently working as a clinical fellow in Paediatric Gastroenterology at Great Ormond Street Hospital and is also completing an MSc in Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Institute of Child Health-UCL.
